Positions with Next Day Companies

Courier (Delivery Driver)

This position completes delivery and pickups of packages on an assigned route.  The route area is generally a zip code or series of towns. Couriers use a hand-held electronic scanner to record pick-up and delivery information.  You will work independently, while following established guidelines and procedures while on your delivery route which will include businesses and residential areas. Your ability to work under the pressure of deadlines, adhere to safety standards and to provide excellent customer service will key to your success.  The job requires the physical ability to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally and 40 pounds regularly.  A clean driving record and the possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid driver’s license is required.

Dock Operations Worker

This position works as part of a team to prepare shipments for delivery in compliance with established guidelines.  Sorting, inspecting, weighing and labeling packages are responsibilities of the Dock Operations Worker.  Employees operate a hand-held electronic scanner to record shipping and package information.  Your ability to safely work at a fast pace and to be detail oriented will be key to your success. The job requires the physical ability to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally and 40 pounds regularly.

Our business is steady year-round and growing. Depending on the location, four-day work weeks may be available.  Vacation benefits begin accruing after 60 days of service. Most positions are full-time, 32 to 40 hours per week.  During peak periods, particularly during the holidays, employees are expected to work some overtime. Some part-time opportunities may also be available.
